CITY CHALLENGE MAY 08

Brave Dragons City Challenge – London Baby!
Saturday 24th May 2008

  • Go to Covent Garden and buy something in the market that proves you were there.
  • Take a photo of yourselves on the ‘wibely wobely’ bridge
  • Take a photo of one member of your group at the following tube stations; Leicester square, Covent Garden, White City, Embankment, Paddington.
  • Take a photo of 5 different animals – be imaginative!
  • Write down the opening times of the natural history museum and have a picture taken in or outside the building.
  • Have your picture taken with a famous person, or maybe someone who looks famous…
  • Go and check whether the queen is at home today and photograph yourselves there.
  • Have your picture taken with the man who founded scouting.
  • Take a photo of a member of your group next to the tower of Big Ben at either 10am, 11am, 2pm or 3pm.
  • Ride 4 different modes of transport. Can you prove you have done this?
  • Have your picture taken with Paddington Bear. Imagine you’re helping him to escape from London, so pose appropriately.
  • Visit St James’s park and photograph the tallest member of your group next to the tallest tree you can find and the smallest member of your group next to the smallest tree.
  • Try and find one of the other leaders and photograph them. (007 style)
  • If you see any other scouts on your travels, get a group picture of all of you.
  • Find Winston Churchill and photograph one member of your team with him.
  • Find a way of making a member of your group as tall as an iconic building and take a picture, be imaginative
  • Photograph yourselves next to the building which produces shows like; Blue Peter, Eastenders, Friday night with Jonathon Ross and strictly come dancing.
  • Find the theatre with your favourite show in it and have a picture taken outside it.
  • Visit Horseguard’s parade – meet a soldier with fury hat – photograph him.
  • Visit 3 places from the monopoly board and prove that you have.
